The beauty of Niagara
Visit Niagara
The Niagara Region has a remarkable array of visitor attractions through all seasons. The countryside is especially popular for touring in spring blossom and grape harvest seasons; vineyard tours and tastings are available at many locations. The Butterfly Conservatory is a perfect escape from winter temperatures, although many love walking and skiing on nearby trails all winter long. And for much of the year, cycling is popular in villages and on country byways.

When visiting our area, consider an overnight stay at gracious, historic Gracewood Bed & Breakfast Inn, just steps from Kurtz Orchards.

Shaw Festival, a theatrical showcase for the works of Shaw and his contemporaries.
Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours logoWhirlpool JetBoats - Family adventure, historic, scenic, one hour Jet Boat Tour on the Niagara River. Splash gear provided for the “Wet Jet” trip OR bring your cameras for the dry “Jet Dome” trip. Niagara-on-the-Lake
The town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is one of Ontario’s first boutique shopping villages and is also a superb community for relaxed strolling, with street after street of architectural and historic homes with lush and carefully-tended gardens. Several historic buildings of note include the Court House, the Niagara Apothecary, the Niagara house Visual Arts Centre, and St. Mark’s Church.
Here are some of our favourite Niagara-on-the-Lake shops and attractions:

Fort George Historic Site: Restored to the 1812 period, the fort’s many buildings, pallisaded walls and costumed interpreters highlight life in 19th-century garrison.
The Romance Collection Gallery: Original works, reproductions and prints from leading artists, including Trisha Romance, Alex Colville and Philip Craig.
Europa Antiques: Fine antiques displayed in a 19th century red brick church.

Cycling
Niagara is a favourite destination of cyclists, who enjoy the uncrowded byways through orchards and vineyards, as well as wonderful views from the Niagara Escarpment. Hikers in our area head for the Niagara Gorge Conservation Area for an up-close look at the mighty river and natural forests. An off-road trail for cycling and walking carries travellers from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Niagara Falls. Cycling tours may be arranged through Steve Bauer tours.
